What Do I Want?

I don’t want from you any respect
Just your true friendship I expect.

I don’t want from you a lavish treat
Just your friendly greet.

I don’t want you to spend with me your precious time.
Just your smile like the sunshine.

I don’t want you to be by my side, giving me your advice
Just your warm words once or twice.

I don’t want your love in return of mine.
Just like me as you like wine.

How can I ask you for all this?
When pleasures you have already showered for me to cherish.

I can never forget the lovely illusion
Of the lovely moments we spend in seclusion.

Why do I want you to lessen my worries
When I can stay alive forever with your fondest memories.
