My Birthday

The day has come again,
I no longer younger remain.

From dawn to dusk I hear greetings,
And get cards, perfumes, and earring.

In the morning the kitchen is full of all sorts of eatables,
Cakes, biscuits, sweets, ice-creams, and vegetables!

The whole noon goes in the preparation.
In the evening is the celebration.

Everyone is busy eating the menu and drinking water,
Now you can hear nothing but jokes and laughter.

As the twilight draws, the Party ends.
Alas, I bid farewell to all my friends.

The night is spend in unwrapping the presents,
And I smile now and then recollecting the day’s events.

So, the next year again, on this same day,

I’ll hear them say, “Happy Birthday”!

Results Day

With hearts beating fast,
Mournful look on our face cast,
We join friends of our kind,
Who are in the same state of mind.

So much is the waiting,
Higher is the tension mounting,
As the clock slowly ticks away,
Secretly and silently we pray.

Yet a few try to be cheerful,
And encourage the sorrowful,
But anyway, all is the same,
For we know what’s the game!

Alas, when comes our turn,
From inside out we burn,
With trembling hands we sign our name
And somehow are ready to face shame or fame.

On the results day, such are the experiences,
Tears, sorrows, cries, and grievances,
Or Joys, happiness, fame and glory.

I wonder which of the either will be my story?

Timepass

I watch movies and look at the skies
-Just for timepass

Everyday I read a book and learn to cook,
-Just for timepass.

I drink coffee and eat a toffee
-Just for timepass

Always I sleep and out of the window peep.
-Just for timepass.

Poems I compose and in front of the mirror pose,
-Just for timepass

With friends I talk and go for a walk.
-Just for timepass.

I try to be happy and gay till the time passes away
And that’s the best timepass of all I would rather call!
