Money Mind

When I had plenty and plenty of it,

I never knew how important it was to have it.

But now when I don’t have it anymore,

I need it more and more.

It may sound all very funny.

Believe me, I am talking about money!

I often wondered and thought,

Why men for money fought?

Now experience has taught me a lot,

That I need mostly money a lot!

I felt money is not everything,

Now, without money everything is nothing!

You may feel I talk something odd,

But believe me as you do in GOD!

I Never Could...

I never could act what I wanted to enact

I never could say what I wanted to speak

I never could get what I wanted to have

I never could see what I wanted to watch

I never could hear what I wanted to listen

But, thank GOD!

I can at least write whatever I want to!
